This is an amazing experience. Wrestling outside on the football field under the stadium lights. Willow Canyon football field is ARTIFICIAL TURF. This is a very important for the fact we will not have moisture transferring from the organic grass onto the wrestling mats making them slippery. Safety is a priority with MWP.  Please register as soon as possible. In the last 2 years, we sold out.

Thank you for competing with MWP and for all your suggestions. This is going to be an extremely competitive tournament bringing in athletes from all over the Southwest. We are listening to our wrestling community!

Here are some changes moving forward:

  1. One day Saturday tournament
  2. We lowered the registration price to $40
  3. We lowered the coaches’ passes to $25
  4. We lowered the audience fee to $15

Willow Canyon field is ARTIFICIAL TURF. This is very important for the fact we will not have moisture transferring from the organic grass onto the wrestling mats making them slippery. Safety is a priority with MWP.

Miles Wrestling Productions (MWP) will be using Track Wrestling to keep things organized and on time (QUITE A FEW COLLEGE RECRUITERS USE TRACK WRESTLING TO MONITOR THE BETTER WRESTLERS IN THE COUNTRY. MWP IS BRINGING NATIONAL EXPOSURE TO OUR ATHLETES. ONE OF THE MANY REASONS MWP ATTRACTS GREAT WRESTLERS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.) MWP uses large professional score clocks with the athlete’s name and the club/school they are from. MWP has hired elite AZ AIA CERTIFIED REFEREES to make the right calls.

The winner in every weight class will receive an Awesome beautiful custom champion ring and 1st place will also receive a Custom champion singlet made on-site from Fine Designs. The placers in every weight class will receive a custom 5” medal 1st – 6th, Supreme Singlets has crafted an exquisite singlet for the FC outstanding wrestler award in each age division and two outstanding high school athletes. The top 3 teams win a beautiful custom banner.

Saturday, October 21st Gates open at 3:00 pm Wrestling begins at 4:00 pm

Two sessions for the night

Session 1. 4:00 pm 6 & under – 8 & under – 10 & under 12 & under – Girls Elementary – 1st - 5th grade – Girls Middle School

Session 2. 5:30 This is just a guess????  Probably start later. We will not start before 5:30. After 5:30 We will start as mats from session one open up 15 & under – 18 & under – Girls high School 9th – 12th grade - Adult Men & Women 19 & up

Early weigh-ins Saturday, October 21st, 8:30 am - 9:00 am $20 fee. Cash only, please.

On-time weigh-ins Saturday, October 21st, 1:30 pm – 2:00 pm. Free. For weight classes please click on the weight & times tab.

Registration fee: $40 per bracket. Wrestlers may double bracket up one age group.

Registration deadline: October 20st 10 pm. Please pre-register.  We want this event to be super organized. If you do walk up to one of the weigh-ins there will be a $20 surcharge, Please click on the registration icon. We are using Track Wrestling.

Bout times: 2,1,1. All divisions except for 6 & under and 8 & under will be 1,1,1 minute. All consolation rounds will be 1,1,1.

Spectator’s fee: $15. Cash only, please.

Coaches pass: Free to a coach for every 6 wrestlers. Must pick up bands at the weigh-ins. To purchase a coaching band is $25. This includes entry to the event. Cash only, please. You may buy passes anytime during the tournament.

  • Is head gear mandatory?
    No, although it’s a good idea to wear one.
  • Is a USA card mandatory?
    Yes, it is. Go to USA Wrestling membership site to sign up. Thanks! We support USA wrestling.
  • Is a singlet mandatory?
    No, if not wearing a singlet you must wear compression shorts and shirt.
  • Is there a weight allowance?
    The weight allowance is already built in the weight brackets.
  • Is a coach’s band mandatory to coach on the mat?
    Yes, Details on obtaining one are on the general information tab.
  • May I double-bracket?
    Yes, you can go up in weight and or age. Please note there is no minimum time between matches if double you double bracket.
  • Do I need to have a coach to wrestle?
    Having your own coach is not mandatory for any MWP tournament.
  • Do I need to belong to a team to compete in this tournament?
    No. You can register as an individual.
  • What happens if it's cancelled due to rain?
    We will move the tournament to the next Saturday October 28th No refunds will be given.
